I am working with a key engineering client in South Yorkshire, who specialise in the design, build and supply of bespoke equipment and heavy engineering construction projects, into nuclear, infrastructure and civil industries. They are looking for a Technical Author for an initial 3-6 month contract, to support workload/projects.

As Technical Author – Bids & Tenders, you will require to conduct the following duties:

  • Compiling technical documentation and bid writing in a mechanically biased manufacturing environment
  • Heavy engineering nuclear and infrastructure projects
  • Document control
  • Able to interpret engineering drawings
  • Put technical quotations together as per required standards/process
  • Manage an issue to the Technical or Sales Director
  • Ability to gather the information you need from different departments and colleagues
  • Consider all Health and safety manuals, risk assessments, engineering drawings through to operating and training manuals
  • Have a “can-do” attitude, be proactive whilst working in a professional manner
