The RoleAs a Training Specialist youll have a role thats out of the ordinary. This is a dynamic role ideal for experienced training analysts or those with domain expertise in Mission Systems (e.g. ISR EW UAS communications networks) looking to transition into the training line of business.Day-to-day youll apply instructional design principles and project management skills to create and evaluate training programmes aligned with the Defence Systems Approach to Training (DSAT). Youll collaborate with subject matter experts military personnel and technical teams to ensure training is effective engaging and mission ready.Conducting DSAT (JSP822 compliant) activities including Training Needs Analysis and course designCollaborating with system designers and stakeholders to align training with equipment support solutionsRepresenting training in customer working groups and maintaining project documentationDesigning blended learning solutions including eLearning instructor-led and performance supportEvaluating training effectiveness and implementing improvementsThis role is full time 37 hours per week requires and will require regular travel across a range of internal and customer sites on a weekly / monthly basis alongside home working arrangements.Essential experience of the Training SpecialistPractical knowledge of DSAT (JSP822) ADDIE or SAM methodologiesAbility to manage training projects from concept to delivery using basic project management principlesExperience collaborating with Defence clients and internal teams to identify training needsProven ability to create and maintain engaging training materials and comprehensive reportsStrong analytical skills with experience applying evaluation models (e.g. Kirkpatrick) to drive learning impactQualifications for the Training SpecialistRelevant qualifications (e.g. teaching engineering Level 6 domain expertise) or equivalent experience demonstrating strong facilitation and learner engagement capabilities.Security ClearanceThe successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
