  • Carry out VAT Returns, some bookkeeping, and general accounts duties etc.
  • Prepare financial statements and reports for a range of clients.
  • Manage client accounts and provide comprehensive accounting services.
  • Review and oversee the work of junior accounting staff.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Provide advisory services and support to clients on financial matters.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations.
Requirements:As the Accounts Assistant, you will have relevant qualifications (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent / AAT) or are currently studying, to go alongside ideally at least 3 years of experience in a similar role. This would ideally be within a practice environment, but my client would be open to industry accounts experience too.In addition to the above, you will have:
  • Strong technical knowledge of accounting and tax principles, as well as VAT returns and bookkeeping.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
