Are you looking for a part-time opportunity in Payroll?

We are supporting a company based in on the outskirts of Chelmsford, who are recruiting for a Payroll Administrator, working up to 20 hours a week. You must be able to drive due to company location and would work 3 or 4 days a week (ideally 9am-2pm or 9:30am-2:30pm). The hourly rate will start from £13ph and has the opportunity to increase after probation.

This is an office-based position with free parking available. You must have 2-3 years of payroll experience and working knowledge of Sage in order to be suitable for this position.

Duties will include:

  • Handling employee payroll queries
  • Processing monthly payroll from start to finish including maintaining records and processing statutory payments such as SMP, SPP and SAP
  • Process new starters, leavers, pensions, salary changes and any additional allowance or deductions
  • Data entry of purchase invoices and matching against purchase orders to ensure they are ready for payment processing
  • Credit control over the telephone and via email
  • Ad-hoc finance reporting when required

To be successful for this opportunity you must have previous experience of managing payroll from start to finish and with working knowledge of Sage Payroll/Accounts. Knowledge of VAT and Credit Control would also be an advantage.
