Job Opportunity: Site Maintenance Staff for Central Birmingham Secondary School ?

Are you a skilled maintenance professional looking for a rewarding role in the education sector? We’re working with a leading secondary school in Central Birmingham to recruit an experienced Site Maintenance Staff Member to join their team.

About the Role:

As a vital part of the school's operations team, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the school’s facilities are well-maintained, safe, and conducive to learning. Your efforts will help create an environment where students and staff can thrive. ?

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform general maintenance tasks and repairs across the school site
  • Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the school grounds
  • Assist with the setup and breakdown of school events and activities
  • Conduct regular health and safety checks to ensure compliance with regulations ?
  • Coordinate with external contractors for specialized maintenance needs
  • Address maintenance requests from staff in a timely manner

Candidate Profile:

  • Proven experience in a similar maintenance role ?
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team
  • Good organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively ?
  • Basic understanding of health and safety standards ??
