Enterprise Architect - User Services/ Modern Workplace


Our client, a leading public services consulting firm are seeking to recruit an Enterprise Architect to lead their modern workplace technology transformations in their central IT function. This architect will be responsible for the Corporate IT portfolio and accountable for workplace technology products, serving approximately 25,000+ users across multiple business sectors.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Design Authority: Serve as the Design Authority for Modern Workplace services and IT Asset Management.
  • Architectural Guidance: Work closely with IT professionals, including IT Senior/Solution Architects and Service Leads, to guide and assure common solution architectures.
  • Compliance Assurance: Ensure compliance with solution architectural design standards in project implementations.
  • Consulting & Support: Offer consulting and technical support services during project implementation to Solution Architects and Technical Delivery teams.
  • Technology Roadmap: Develop and maintain a technology and service roadmap for the Modern Workplace technology domain, in collaboration with Business Stakeholders and IT Directors.
  • Vendor Management: Review vendor and supplier proposals to ensure quality inputs are deliverable, aligned with Technology and Architecture Roadmaps, and compliant with Enterprise Architecture standards.
  • Risk Mitigation: Identify and mitigate business risks or risks associated with solution architecture.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in Enterprise Architecture within large, diverse organizations.
  • Strong understanding of Modern Workplace services and IT Asset Management.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Demonstrated leadership in guiding architectural design standards and project implementations.
  • Experience in developing technology and service roadmaps.
  • Proficiency in reviewing and managing vendor and supplier proposals.


This is a hybrid role, requiring 1-2 days per week in the West Midlands office.
