Associate (Corporate Analyst, SME)

Our Client, leading provider of credit management services intended to serve the investment community. They provide a wide range of credit management solutions, covering loan administration, acting as a facility agent and security trustee, credit monitoring, risk management, underwriting, due diligence for distressed loans, tailored portfolio analysis, and structured financial services. Their goal is to enable clients to effectively handle their commercial and residential loan portfolios, whether performing or non-performing. They are looking for Associate, SME & Corporate Analyst to join their team in London.
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular reviews of Management Information to assess financial health.
- Monitor financial covenants, cash positions, working capital, contract pipelines, aged debtors, and creditors.
- Analyze key performance indicators relevant to the monitoring process.
- Ensure timely and accurate tracking of covenants, meticulously recording them in the appropriate system.
- Review cash flow projections and business plans to identify potential risks or opportunities.
- Scrutinize legal documentation including facility agreements, amendments, and subordination agreements.
- Evaluate the borrower's corporate structure, including shareholding, director roles, debt structures, and liabilities.
- Assess security arrangements such as guarantees and subordination agreements.
- Lead negotiations for waiver requests, early repayments, and payment schedule restructurings with borrowers and clients.
- Prepare comprehensive watch-list reports, offering forward-looking credit risk assessments.
- Identify trends and challenges within individual borrower portfolios and provide strategic advice for resolution or exit strategies.
- Maintain electronic credit files for assigned deals, ensuring compliance with client guidelines and naming conventions.
- Safeguard key documents for approval requests and audits.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
- Proven experience in credit analysis, financial modeling, or risk management.
- Strong understanding of legal documentation related to credit facilities.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial concepts clearly.
- Detail-oriented approach with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
