Role- Design Engineer Salary- £30,000 - £40,000 per annum (dependent on experience) Type- Permanent Location- Telford My client is a specialist manufacturer. They are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in Telford on a permanent basis. The Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:1 year or more of experience in a similar Design / Mechanical / Project Engineering positionStrong organisation, client facing and project management skillsExperience working in FMCG, packaging, food, beverage, process plants or similar would be beneficialExperience with 2D and 3D CADKnowledge of a sheet metal, injection moulded plastics, welding, fabrication, castings etc.Degree / HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similarProven ability to drive Engineering developmentGood mathematical and general engineering knowledgeThe ability to understand system requirementsBe self-motivated with excellent attention to detailHave excellent communication skills both verbal and written The Project Design Engineer role will involve:Using CAD for concept design and producing technical drawingsWorking on full lifecycle projectsDesigning and developing new productsLiaising with manufacturing providersBeing involved in final assembly of productsCreating the required documentation for design as well as project reports / plansUpdating 3D models and drawingsInputting parts into the MRP system creating BOMsChecking drawings for sign offWorking in a small multi-disciplinary team on varied projects If you are interested in this position, please apply with an up to date CV as soon as possible.
