We have an exciting opportunity for a People Development Coordinator to join our Learning and Development Team who sit within the People directorate here at The London Clinic. This role is based at our head office in London (NW1 4LJ) on a hybrid working model, and we are offering a competitive inclusive salary of £32,000 on a 12-month FTC.

Established in 1932, The London Clinic is one of the UK's largest private hospitals, with 8 state-of-the-art facilities, and circa 1350 employees where we are dedicated to providing our patients with expert, individualised treatment and care. Our main hospital spans 8 floors comprising of 150+ patient beds and 10 operating theatres, including a Hybrid theatre and two minimally invasive/day surgery theatres. Speciality areas include, General surgery; ENT; Gynaecology; Hepatobiliary; Neuro-spinal; Ophthalmic; Orthopaedic; Plastic and reconstructive; Robotic; Urology; Vascular & Weight loss surgery (bariatric surgery).

Job Description

This role will provide administrative support to the People Development function; coordinating all learning and development activities, administering the Learning Management System, supporting with departmental projects and acting as a first point of contact for the team.

  • Job Type: Full Time, permanent position.
  • Hours: 37.5 hours per week; Mon - Fri within the core hours of 9am - 5.30pm.
  • Contract: 12 month FTC
  • Location: The London Clinic Head Office - NW1 4LJ - Hybrid working

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintain and administer the Learning Management System (LMS); add new starters, update employee changes, add courses, update the catalogue, create curriculums, update content, record attendance, assign training etc.
  • Act as first point of contact for the People Development team; manage the training inbox, handle training queries and support staff in using the LMS and following our processes; offering excellent service
  • Coordination of all training; organise room bookings, set-up for classroom sessions, organise training resources, order refreshments, prepare course materials, set up Zoom sessions, send out calendar invites and workbooks
  • Provide day-to-day administrative support for all members of the People Development team and assist with departmental projects
  • Produce weekly reports on training compliance through use of LMS reporting functionality and MS Excel
  • Provide regular communications to promote the People Development function, our training offering, etc. and maintain our intranet page

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience as a coordinator/administrator
  • Strong understanding of Learning & Development
  • Intermediate IT literacy; MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint
  • Previous experience of administering a Learning Management System
  • Experience using Corner Stone or the ability to demonstrate experience in working on new systems
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Able to self-manage and work effectively within tight time frames
  • Innovative thinking and creative problem solving
  • Exceptional planning and organisational skills with the ability to flexibly adapt to change
  • Strong team player and able to build meaningful relationships
