Import/Export Airfreight Coordinator

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Operations
- Deliver all import and export requirements for assigned clients and overseas agents.
- Positively resolve and communicate discrepancies or delays to the Client and Overseas Partner if appropriate.
- Negotiate with suppliers to ensure the best service and best pricing for the client.
Customer Service
- Deliver excellent customer communication at all times to ensure we are delivering the best service.
- Work with other departments to ensure KPI’s are achieved.
- Maintain client and department SOP’s.
- Identify and report development opportunities.
- Manage credit limits and ensure Duty & VAT payments received prior to delivery.
Administration
- Create Cargowise shipments.
- Complete all order management and tracking information as agreed in the SOP.
- Complete all sales and purchase e-billing.
- Maintain job costing and profit details for each job.
- Upload commercial documents to eDocs/Cargowise.
- Process deferment account records.
- Load Non-Conformance Exceptions to Cargowise where applicable.
Compliance
- Complete all customs requirements and ensure compliance.
- Stay ahead of changing compliance laws.
- Complete other duties within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job, as requested
- At all times represent and act in the best interest of the company, the shareholders and the employees
- Work in accordance with the company values to maintain a positive environment with all teams across all departments.
Location: Onsite or Hybrid with 3 days at our Egham Office.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- At least 2 year's experience in an airfreight operations role, within the freight forwarding or logistics industry.
- Work as part of a team
- Attention to detail
- Work with pride and professionalism
- Strong customer service skills
- Competence in Import and export airfreight knowledge mandatory
- Customs knowledge mandatory
- Working hazardous knowledge is desirable
- Knowledge of using CargoWise - Desirable
