Position OverviewPay range: $46530 - $75615 / yearShifts: Monday - FridaySchedules: 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.Benefits and perks available for eligible positions include: robust educational assistance programs generous paid time off employee assistance and wellness programs paid parental leave qualifying employer for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program plus more.Job HighlightsThe Supervising Technician for Infusion Authorizations is responsible for:Overseeing the daily operations of our specialty infusion authorization services (including: performing benefits investigation obtaining prior authorization approvals/Pre-certification coordinating insurance benefits coordinating financial assistance for medications and other patient-focused tasks).Working together with other leaders on the specialty pharmacy and ambulatory teams to achieve departmental goals.Providing coverage in the PCC infusion schedule as a floater.Promoting positive patient outcomes through ongoing patient and pharmacy communication.Working together with UAB billing services to ensure patients are accurately billed for services received.Coordinating recruitment and training for new hires in the department. Preferred Qualifications:Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) LicenseOne (1) Year of Patient Care Coordinator (Patient Accounts Representative) Experience Desirable Traits Include:Medical billing experienceLeadership experienceJob DescriptionTo supervise pharmacy technician staff including but not limited to scheduling training evaluating and disciplining. To provide recommendation to manager regarding staff selection promotion and termination.
