Job Summary

Ensures that the Compliance Directors team meets all critical reporting deliverables (those supporting Boards and the Global Compliance team), this includes ensuring the annual review and maintenance of the Compliance policy, mandate and supporting procedural documentation.

Provides oversight of all regulatory reporting to the FCA/PRA, oversighting that 1LOD and 2LOD meet expectations, and where appropriate liaises with the FCA/PRA helpsdesks and internal collegaues to appropriately manage expectations and escalate issues.

What You'll Do

Board, Lifeco and Executive Reporting of Regulatory Compliance

Coordinate the reporting required by the Director of Compliance and Regulatory affairs to fulfil the Compliance mandate and Lifeco expectations. This includes:

- CCO Reporting for Executive Committees, Board and Lifeco.
- Agreeing the templates to be completed in advance and owners.
- Setting clear expectations for approach to content and deadlines.
- Where possible standadrising formats and language.
- Ensuring a professional look and feel that meets reporting expectations.
- Managing key stakeholders.
- Managing the calendar of Board, Lifeco and Executive Committee reporting for the Director of Compliance in order to meet deadlines and efficiently reuse materials across the team.

Oversight of Regulatory Reporting

Oversee that accurate and timely responses are provided for the required regulatory reporting, notifications and, where appropriate, other communications (including one-off requests) to UK and Canadian Regulators and other authorities, including attestations to the Global Chief Compliance Officer. Oversee that data is submitted in a timely and accurate manner with appropriate sign off from senior management where required. Escalate issues due to errors or deadlines missed where appropriate. This involves routine review and engagement with the FCA's RegData FCA tool, and engaging with the Regulator Engagement Manager or regulator to manage expectations where deadlines are missed or to support the 1LOD with queries.

Regulatory Compliance Governance

Co-ordinate the maintenance of Compliance policy, mandate, standard and procedure documentation ensuring they are kept up to date and are reviewed at least annually by the relevant owners. Co-ordinate the review, approval and communication on a timely basis of regulatory risk policies, standards, guidelines and procedures to ensure they remain compliant with regulatory requirements.Liaise with the Head of Enterprise Risk to ensure that the approach is consistent and aligned with the ERM Framework, record management and approach to update and engagement.

Committee Support

Support the Compliance Function in the taking and drafting of minutes at Committees, as required.

R&C Team Effectiveness

Assist the Risk and Compliance team in their overall effectiveness. This includes things such as:

- Acting as R&C Security Coordinator with Security Access Reuests for the function
- Coordinating the maintenance of the teams Intranet pages and file structures
- Taking on a 'champion' role within the team or on behalf of the business to help remain connected in the day to day activities of an area of the business e.g. Vulnerable Customer, Data Protection etc.
- Supporting regulatory initiatives.
- Supporting events and team days.

Who You Are

• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Awareness of regulatory environment and requirements.
• Able to organise workloads for self and others to meet demanding and often changing priorities, ensuring that key deadlines are met or managed appropriately.
• Able to solve problems and create pragmatic solutions and improvements.
• Good analytical and report writing skills including MS Office Work, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong communication skills, ability to present information in a clear, timely and focused way.
• Able to communicate appropriately up to Executive level.
• Once standards and expectations are understood, able to effectively challenge.
• Flexible, willing to travel to other office locations.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English essential
• Risk or Compliance qualification (if not got one, interested in achieving one)
