The pub is home to a Veterans club once per month, local Shine night weekly and is well known for the community work and charitable events the previous operators have built in the last 2 years.

Ashton-under-Lyne is a well-known market town in Tameside, Greater Manchester, it is on the north bank of the river Tame, in the foothills of the Pennines, 6 miles (9.7 km) east of Manchester.

The pub is next to the newly refurbished bus station as well as beside the local train station, beside the Ladysmith shopping centre. There are many different schools within walking distance of the pub as well as Tameside College.

This is a large community pub within the town centre so benefits from regular and passing trade. It requires an experienced operator with a solid background in managing pubs.

The ideal operator should prioritise focussing on the current customer base whilst also ensuring they capitalise on the passing trade from the shopping centre next year. They should be able to create a welcoming and fun atmosphere, building on the previous operator's links with the local community and the local groups within it. They will also be able to drive that late-night trade and utilise the late licence that the pub benefits from.

The accommodation is a very spacious 4 bedroom setup, with private access to and from without going into the pub itself.

The Beau Geste is already a very well-known and exciting pub which has a well-established trade. The correct operator is going to elevate our offer here and give even more people a reason to visit whilst giving a rooted home to all those regulars who just love to stay in that little while longer. They will be a pillar of the local community.
