Planting Services Manager| London | Full-Time | Monday to Friday | £31,000–£44,000 per annum Our client is a well-established, family-run Garden Centre based in Kentish Town, London. They specialise in high-quality plants, planters, gardening gifts, plant care products, and seasonal items such as Christmas trees. Their mission is to enrich North London's urban landscape by providing expert horticultural advice, exceptional service, and sustainable planting solutions. They are looking for a Planting Services Manager to lead high-end residential planting projects, including gardens, courtyards, and roof terraces. This is a hands-on role for someone passionate about plants and planting, with strong client-facing skills. Are you the right person for the job? Full, clean UK driving licence (mandatory) Right to work in the UK (sponsorship not offered) Strong horticultural knowledge and practical planting experience Ability to create accurate estimates, order materials, manage small teams (2–4 staff), and liaise effectively with clients Garden design skills desirable; experience with CANVAS design software advantageous Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) is essential Friendly, confident communicator with leadership qualities Comfortable working independently as well as part of a team Flexible to assist with installations when required Sales or client consultation experience desirable; internal training available for strong candidates Passion for horticulture and commitment to professional growth What will your role look like? As Planting Manager, you will take ownership of high-end residential planting projects from estimation to execution: Engage with clients to understand their needs and prepare tailored estimates and proposals Lead on-site installation of planting projects, maintaining exceptional standards Manage a small team, allocate tasks effectively, and oversee daily operations Provide training and guidance to junior team members Ensure site safety, maintain equipment, and manage materials Represent the company professionally and maintain client satisfaction Occasionally support the garden centre with plant care, customer service, and maintenance Over time, may take on responsibilities for recruitment, scheduling, and performance management as the business expands What can you expect in return? £31,000–£44,000 per annum Company van provided for business-related use Workplace pension scheme with The People's Pension 27 days paid annual leave per year, including bank holidays (5 days must be taken over the Christmas shutdown) Career growth opportunities within a small, collaborative management team Staff discounts, continuous training, and professional development Interview Process Shortlisted candidates will ideally be invited for a face-to-face interview.
