OverviewBirchwood Group is a forward-looking company with retail stores, workshops and facilities based across the south coast of Sussex and Hampshire. We are currently recruiting for a Sales Administrator (on a 12 month fixed-term contract) who thrives in a fast-paced environment.Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for providing the sales department with administrative and clerical support ensuring a smooth and efficient motorcycle handover process.Your duties will include but are not limited to the following:Prepare motorcycle invoices and related documents from order formsCheck for outstanding finance on part exchanges and cash purchases via ExperianProcess new motorcycle orders and match receipts to submitted ordersMaintain and update demonstrator stock (new and used)Arrange stock transfers to/from other dealers as directedRegister new motorcycles in line with company and manufacturer policiesManage used stock transfers between branchesPrepare deal bags for all new and used motorcyclesRecord PDI, reconditioning, and accessories in the stock book (VSB) for service job cardsUpdate sold motorcycle costs and complete end-of-month figuresProcess road fund licence paperworkRetain stock documentation in line with company policyAdd used bikes to stock and funding system dailyRemove sold bikes from the funding system dailyEnsure compliance with manufacturer CSI standardsPerform ad hoc duties as requiredKnowledge, Skills and Experience Required:Admin experience is essentialPrevious experience of the automotive industry is desirable (not essential)Strong organisational and prioritisation skillsExcellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate with people at all levelsExceptional interpersonal skillsExcellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to workAble to work under pressure and meet tight deadlinesExcellent problem-solving skillsAbility to adjust effectively to shifting demands, tasks, or team dynamicsSelf-motivated, able to work on own initiative and within a teamContract: 12 months (maternity cover)Working Hours: Monday - Friday 08:30 - 17.00 (part time hours available, min 25 hours per week)Location: Christchurch, DorsetSalary: CompetitiveHoliday: 22 days plus bank holidaysBenefits: Health cash plan, Employee Assistance Programme, Subsidised motorcycle and car purchase and aftersales scheme (upon completion of probation)We are an Equal Opportunities EmployerDue to the high volume of applications, we receive, unfortunately, we are unable to contact each applicant individually regarding the status of their application.
