This is an opportunity to work on a casual basis within Ashdown Park Hotel as a Housekeeping and Laundry Assistant. Working as part of the wider housekeeping and laundry teams you will have responsibility for a dedicated number of guest bedrooms ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness as well as maintaining high standards of cleanliness in the public areas of the Hotel as well as assisting the Executive Housekeeper and Laundry Supervisors with ensuring the smooth operation of the Laundry Department to achieve the specified standard of performance and guest satisfaction.HousekeepingYou will be cleaning and servicing guest bedrooms replenishing amenities and assisting with the cleaning of public areas. The role is a critical factor in maintaining and strengthening the hotels excellent reputation and helping to provide our guests with distinctly memorable experiences. Various shifts are available which can include daytime evenings weekends and bank holidays.Key Responsibilities:To prepare allocated rooms for guest staying at the hotel.Be constantly aware of guest needs and recognise the expectations of guests.To anticipate guest requirements and take appropriate action.Have a genuine passion for high standards of cleanliness and presentation with excellent attention to detail.Key Attributes:Experience as a cleaner or housekeeper is desirable although not essential as full training will be given.Once trained ability to work with little supervision and maintain a high level of performance.Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with colleagues and guests in a friendly professional manner.Customer-oriented.Prioritization and time management skills.Working quickly without compromising qualityLaundryKey Responsibilities:Sorting out the linen - bed sheets towels and tabel linen.Unloading/loading the machines.Using the ironer to press sheets and table linen.Maintain laundry chemical usage.To arrange for guest and staff laundry and dry-cleaning to be done either internally or by external agency and attend to any special requests by guests.Key Attributes:Good level of verbal English.Team player.Physically fit as this role requires bending and lifting sorting out linen and towels.Benefits:As a people focused Investor In People Company we offer a great range of benefits to the successful candidate.
