Loan Analyst, Lancashire (Chorley).

Salary £30,000 + Annual Bonus (Discretionary)

We are actively looking to chat to candidates in the Lancashire area who would like to grow and develop their skills within the loan servicing / loan management space.

Ideally you will be located in areas such as Preston, Wigan, Bolton, Horwich to enable an easy route to our office in Chorley (parking available).

Prospective candidates will be at the earlier stage of their careers perhaps sitting within a bank or general financial services company and have strong Excel skills along with the ability and understanding of working on interest calculations.

On offer will be a competitive salary, expected to be in the region of £30,000 plus there is also an annual bonus.

Full training and mentoring to enable the ability to learn and develop and to progress further with the business is provided along with the opportunity of working within a friendly, supportive and approachable team as well as a business who can offer a stable platform to grow with.

The overall role will be to work on the provision of day-to-day loan administration ensuring accuracy and completeness of records and adherence to current processes in order to generate Borrower/Lender communications.

Key Tasks:

  • Onboarding of new loans onto the loan management system.
  • Create Interest Calculation Template in Microsoft Excel.
  • Create periodic interest calculations from the LAT and produce associated interest statements on each Interest Payment Date.
  • Preparation of payments from both borrower bank accounts and our accounts to lenders. These include both manual and online payments.
  • General loan operations duties including preparation of billing notices / remittance reports, rate setting and maintenance.
  • Calculation of Agency Fees, requisition of fee invoices from the Finance Dept and issuance of invoices to Borrowers. Monitoring for receipt of associated fees.
  • Daily monitoring of our bank accounts.
  • Liaising with Loan Managers, lenders, clients and relevant third parties with regards to loan accrual queries / administration.

Desirable Skills & Experience:

  • Loan administration or servicing in the financial services industry
  • Loan accrual/property management database system configuration
  • Knowledge of various electronic payment systems i.e. Swift, CHAPS, BACS etc.
