Theteam sits within the wider Sanctions and Illicit Finance (SIF) teamwhich develops policies and legislation to address economic crimeand illicit finance in the UK and overseas to help protect thestability of the global financialsystem.

AbouttheJob
Inthis role, youwill:
- Leadpolicy on the use of the UK's domestic counter-terrorism sanctionsregime, working closely with the Office for Financial SanctionsImplementation and the FCDO. This will involve workingcollaboratively across government to developing an approach totackling key domesticthreats.
- Develop HM Treasury'spolicy to counter-terrorism financing, working closely with theHome Office, law enforcement and wider agencies. You'll considerpolicy to address current threats and engage with the privatesector and third sector to reduce risks to theUK.
- Work with the wider team onpreparation for the UK's next Mutual Evaluation by the FinancialAction Task Force.
- Play an activerole within the wider team, including by contributing to corporateactivities within the group and across HMTreasury.
