  • Assisting in the preparation of the statutory accounts
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations including VAT control accounts, including submission, payments and handling queries
  • Monthly journal review process
  • Supporting the Financial Accountant with the preparation of all the groups entity VAT returns
  • Day to day maintenance of the finance reporting and budgeting system
  • Preparing budgets and forecasts
  • Identifying opportunities for improvements
The successful Assistant Financial Accountant should possess the following skills and experience:
  • Part qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA) or studying
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to establish and build relationships across the business
  • A collaborative and solution oriented mindset
  • Advanced Excel skills and good all round IT knowledge
  • Ability to analyse, interpret and present information clearly and concisely
