Job Description:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Part Time Finance Assistant to join our team. As a Part Time Finance Assistant, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy of accounts, ledgers, and financial records. You will perform a range of administrative and clerical tasks on a day-to-day basis to keep accounts up to date.

Responsibilities:

  • Credit Control:
    • Resolve outstanding payments and send collection statements to ensure customers pay on time and charge them for overdue invoices.
    • Set up repayments and work with debt counselors.
    • Update account information and records of clients.
    • Assist with audits and check for discrepancies in financial accounts.
    • Ensure that financial records meet company standards.
    • Compile financial reports.
  • Purchase Ledger:
    • Bookkeeping
    • Recording and filing invoices
    • Payment processing with Head Office
    • Calculating VAT payments
    • Accurate data entry
    • Communicating with external vendors and suppliers
    • Compiling company reports
    • Monitoring payments via BACS

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of SAP system preferred
  • Month-end invoicing experience
  • Purchase Ledger experience a benefit but not essential
