Service Care Solutions have an opportunity for Waste Recyling Assistants to join a client we are working with in Leicestershire.Working in the role of Waste Recyling Assistant, you will be based at Lount Recycling and Household Waste Recycling Centre based Ashby-de-la-Zouch in on a full time temporary contract assisting customers to dispose of waste materials whilst maximising site recycling rates. Key duties will include:Assist and advise with the recycling and disposal of waste materials at all RHWS, offering to show or help customers rather than tell them the correct place to deposit their wasteEnsure waste streams are not mixed, and are separated correctlyMaintain and ensure clean loads of recyclates before sending to disposal point and that loads that leave the site are not contaminatedMaintain RHWS services in accordance with Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental management systems and follow health and safety procedures and safe systems of workMaintain compliance with all legislative requirements including the site operating and environmental licensesMaintain a clean and tidy work environmentCheck permits for vans and trailers, or for permitted wasteEnsure maintenance schedules are adhered toIdentify opportunities to improve customer service and recycling ratesCommunicate with customers, responding to queries or complaints. Build effective relationships through customer contact and consistency of approach in all customer communications Requirements for this role: Be flexible to work outside of normal working hours including bank holidays, weekends and out of hours working.
