Key Responsibilities:

  • 1:1 and Small Group Support:

    • Work closely with students who exhibit challenging behaviours, providing one-on-one or small group support to help them engage positively with their learning.
    • Develop and implement tailored behaviour management strategies, in line with the student's Individual Education Plan (IEP).
    • Assist students in overcoming barriers to learning, including those related to social, emotional, and mental health difficulties.

  • Behaviour Management:

    • Monitor and record student behaviour, providing feedback to the SENCO and relevant teaching staff.
    • Use a range of de-escalation techniques to manage and support students in times of crisis or heightened anxiety.
