This role is integral to promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment, ensuring that all students can achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:1:1 and Small Group Support:
- Work closely with students who exhibit challenging behaviours, providing one-on-one or small group support to help them engage positively with their learning.
- Develop and implement tailored behaviour management strategies, in line with the student's Individual Education Plan (IEP).
- Assist students in overcoming barriers to learning, including those related to social, emotional, and mental health difficulties.
Behaviour Management:
- Monitor and record student behaviour, providing feedback to the SENCO and relevant teaching staff.
- Use a range of de-escalation techniques to manage and support students in times of crisis or heightened anxiety.
- Collaborate with the school's pastoral team to develop and maintain positive behaviour support plans.
Classroom Support:
