Transport First Line Manager

As a Transport First Line Manager you will be responsible for the direct management of the transport shift providing coaching mentoring and development opportunities whilst ensuring health safety and legal compliance is adhered to at all times.Shift pattern: 4 on 4 off 06:00- 18:00Key Duties of a Transport First Line Manager:To provide leadership within the transport team.Operate and manage day to day performance of KPIs Drivers and office staffManage Health & Safety for Transport OperationsWorking with key suppliers in regarding to Sub contracting and Agency staffAssisting with the management in regards to the legal compliance of the site and to ensure it operates within the Operator Licence Legislation WTD and Health & Safety regulations.Manage the day to day running of the transport operation ensuring that resource is planned to achieve the most efficient plan whilst adhering to both legal and site constraints.To ensure a high level of communication between departments colleagues clients and stakeholders is maintained on a daily basis.To engage the workforce by having regular communication with employees setting targets and managing performance both as a team and individual basis.Qualifications : Significant transport experience in FMCG environmentSignificant knowledge & experience of tachograph/ driving rules and regulationsNational and International CPC qualification desirablePrevious supervisory experience within a similar environmentPlanning and organising skills with a high level of numeracyGood IT skills including Microsoft office packages.Have knowledge of Road Transport Directive and current drivers hoursLeadership and motivational qualities and proven experience of building a teamAn effective communicator at all levels good verbal and written skillsA confident manager who is skilled at setting clear objectives and motivating their teamAble to work within an evolving organisationProblem solving in a pressurised environmentAdditional Information : As part of our drive to make CML a great place to work.
