Prospero Teaching are currently seeking enthusiastic and compassionate SEN Early Years Primary Class Teachers to start in September 2024.Located in Norwood, the school caters to a diverse mix of students across primary, secondary, and post-16 levels, all with a primary or secondary diagnosis of autism. Every student is non-verbal and requires extensive support, learning below year 1 level.Position Details: Hours: 8:45am - 4:15pm Ongoing Placements: Temp to Perm Salary: Paid to Scale (£140 - £240)What You'll Do:As an Early Years Primary Class Teacher, you'll play a vital role in creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive. Your responsibilities will include: Understanding autism and tailoring teaching methods to meet the unique needs of each student. Developing and implementing a bespoke curriculum that enables all children to access learning effectively. Collaborating with up to 3 Teaching Assistants to provide individualised support and guidance in the classroom.You'll be part of a supportive and dynamic team committed to making a positive impact on the lives of SEN students. Ongoing professional development opportunities, a collaborative working environment, and the chance to truly make a difference in the lives of children with special needs.Requirements:To be successful in this role, you'll need: A deep understanding of autism and its impact on learning. Experience or a strong interest in working with children with special needs. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), equivalent certification or an extensive SEN teaching experience.
