Job Role: Mechanical Estimator              

Area: Granthan

Salary: £50k - £55k

Our client is a leading provider of comprehensive building services, specializing in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) solutions. Their commitment to excellence and innovation has established them as a trusted partner in the industry. They are looking for a talented and experienced Mechanical Estimator to join our dynamic team.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyse project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates.
  • Develop detailed mechanical designs from concept to tender stage, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure the accuracy and completeness of design and cost estimates.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options without compromising quality.
  • Prepare and present tender documentation, including detailed cost breakdowns and project timelines.
  • Conduct site visits and surveys to gather necessary information for accurate estimation.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of material costs, labor rates, and market trends.
  • Assist in the preparation of bid proposals and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
  • Ensure all estimates are completed within specified timeframes and budget constraints.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to project teams throughout the project lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will be:

  • Minimum of 5 years industry experience.
  • OND/HND/DEGREE Building Services/Mechanical or a related discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Full UK driving license
