The Role:

As the Head of AI, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our AI strategy, leveraging advanced machine learning and data science techniques to tackle some of the most challenging problems in biotechnology. You will lead a team of highly skilled AI/Computer Vision researchers and engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive AI strategy aligned with our company’s mission and objectives.
  • Decide on a tech stack for us to use moving forward.
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of AI professionals to achieve exceptional results.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including biologists, chemists, and engineers to integrate AI solutions into our biotech projects.
  • Drive the development of AI models and algorithms to enhance our research and product development.
  • Stay at the forefront of AI advancements, ensuring our solutions are state-of-the-art and impactful.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, workshops, and in high-level meetings with stakeholders and partners.


Requirements:

  • Proven leadership experience in AI, preferably within the biotech or life sciences sector.
  • Strong background in machine learning, data science, and computational biology.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Track record of successfully leading and delivering complex AI projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • PhD or equivalent experience in a relevant field is highly desirable.
