Dawn is a world-leading resource that will drive exploitation of state-of-the-art tools and workflows in globally impactful research fields such as clean energy, personalized medicine, astronomy, and climate science. As a member of our team, you will be working with advanced AI tools and methods on projects with experienced users as well as novice users, adapting your approach to meet the needs of the project, client, and team.

About the Team

You will be part of a growing team of specialist AI, Software, and Systems Engineers dedicated to Dawn, working with a wide range of stakeholders across multiple disciplines and institutions. Our team is committed to delivering high-quality results and making a significant impact in the field of AI research.

About the Responsibilities

  • Lead on a diverse range of AI software projects and user engagement.
  • Collaborate with world-leading academic research teams, and researchers in the public sector and the commercial sector to deliver on their project goals.
  • Build relationships at all levels with experience of influencing and negotiating with stakeholders to achieve goals.
  • Develop and maintain advanced AI tools and methods, ensuring they meet the needs of the project and team.

About the Requirements

  • Experience of leading and developing a team of highly technical specialists.
  • Practical experience with Natural Language Processing, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Statistical Modelling techniques.
  • Proficiency in software engineering.
  • A good understanding of data structures and algorithms and data-oriented approaches to problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with experienced as well as novice clients and stakeholders.
