The Estate: Warter Priory Estate comprises approximately 12,000 acres of agricultural arable, grass and woodland and 63 farmhouses and residential dwellings within the Yorkshire Wolds. The majority of the Estate is farmed and managed in-hand. The Estate also operates a commercial sporting enterprise. Main purpose of the job: Warter Priory Estate are seeking a motivated, proactive and organised individual with good customer service and administrative skills, who will be responsible for communication both internally and externally across the Estate departments to assist with the smooth day to day running of the Estate. Within the role, the candidate will oversee and take a lead on a wide range of general administrative duties. The successful candidate must have a good telephone manner, be competent with Microsoft Office, be able to prioritise work and work on their own initiative as well as being part of a team, and being able to communicate internally and externally in a positive and professional manner. Due to the nature of the Estate, an interest and knowledge in rural business and the departments would be favourable. This opportunity is a busy and varied full time role. Reporting Structure: The role reports to the Estate Manager, Farm Manager, Shoot Manager and Office Manager. The role and responsibilities: Handling telephone enquiries, recording messages accurately and dealing with emails. Typing of letters, emails and reports, Managing the Estate vehicle MOT and servicing. Providing HR support to the departments; to include organising inductions, staff training, assisting with recruitment and monitoring annual leave. Quote sourcing and product ordering for the departments. Liaising with utility providers in respect of tenancy handovers. Organising fire safety and health and safety checks. Opening and distribution of incoming post; delivering outgoing post to local post office. Dealing with incoming invoices for processing. Greeting visitors, managing meeting rooms, arranging refreshments and catering. Attending meetings when required and taking accurate minutes. Email and diary management for Heads of Departments. Interaction with all departments and to remain up to date with activity across the Estate. Providing office cover for other tasks, including payroll and payment processing. Any other duties as and when required. The skills we are looking for in you: Professional telephone manner and excellent customer service skills. Good general knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, Planner, OneDrive and Dropbox. Advanced Excel skills would be an advantage. Experience of Gatekeeper and Connecteam would be advantageous but not essential. Training will be provided if necessary. Organised with a proactive and problem-solving approach to tasks. Good standard of written English language. Good level of numeracy, accuracy, and attention to detail. Ability to work as an individual, manage time and prioritise work. Ability to remain calm under pressure. Ability to grasp new technologies. Interpersonal skillsability to communicate with people at all levels and members of the wider Estate team. Possess a generally positive outlook and enjoy working within a close team. Honesty and a high level of integrity. Systematic and cheerful approach with a can do attitude. Awareness of confidentially essential. Well presented. Full UK driving licence. Key information you need to know: Full time permanent position. Salarydepending on experience.
