You will play a key role in supporting the overall operations of our fitness facility and support the Gym Manager to achieve its goals. Your responsibilities will range from assisting with staff management and customer service to ensuring the cleanliness and functionality of the gym environment. If you have a passion for fitness, excellent organisational skills, and a strong desire to contribute to the success of our gym, we encourage you to apply.Our 24 hour modern facilities are packed with life fitness and Hammer Strength equipment – the best in the class – as well as a major focus on our, Olympic lifting platforms, our dedicated functional training performance zones, our female only zones and world leading cardio equipment.ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service:Greet and engage with members, providing a welcoming and positive atmosphere.Assist in resolving member inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly and professionally.Foster a supportive and inclusive community for gym members.Staff Management:Collaborate with the Gym Manager to supervise and motivate gym staff, including trainers, front desk personnel, and cleaning staff.Help with recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations of staff members.Ensure that all staff members adhere to gym policies, procedures, and standards.Operational Excellence:Contribute to the implementation of operational policies and procedures.Assist in monitoring the maintenance and functionality of gym equipment, addressing any issues promptly.Ensure gym cleanliness and organisation, including equipment sanitisation and facility upkeep.Sales and Marketing Support:Aid in promoting gym memberships, special programmes, and events.Collaborate with the team to execute strategies for attracting new members and retaining existing ones using social media and outreach marketing.Financial Oversight:Help with tracking and managing gym expenses, inventory, and supplies.Support the Gym Manager in achieving financial goals by assisting in budget management and revenue generation.Fitness Programmes and Events:Assist in planning, organising, and executing fitness classes, workshops, and events.Collaborate with trainers to create engaging and effective fitness programmes for members.Safety and Compliance:Ensure compliance with safety protocols, emergency procedures, and health regulations.Help maintain accurate member records, waivers, and health information.QualificationsReps Level 3 or equivalent gym instructor OR personal training qualification, group exercise qualificationFirst Aid Qualification – desiredPrevious experience in the fitness industry or a similar role is preferred.Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with staff and members.Leadership abilities and the capacity to motivate and manage a team.Excellent organisational skills to manage tasks, schedules, and facility upkeep.Proficiency in using software and systems for managing schedules, memberships, and reports.NRGetic and driven to be a successLove to meet and exceed expectationsEnjoy being ‘hands on’Focus on delivering every timePassion for health, fitness, and promoting a healthy lifestyle.Required SkillsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsLeadership abilitiesExcellent organisational skillsProficiency in software and systemsPreferred SkillsFirst Aid QualificationExperience in the fitness industryEqual Opportunity StatementIf you are excited about contributing to the success of NRG gym and helping individuals achieve their fitness goals, we encourage you to apply for the position of Assistant Gym Manager.
