Position OverviewPay range: $67070.00 - $108990.00 / yearShifts: full-time amBenefits and perks available for eligible positions include: robust educational assistance programs generous paid time off employee assistance and wellness programs paid parental leave qualifying employer for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program plus more.Job DescriptionThe Quality Management Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of the Quality & Patient Safety programs for the inpatient and ambulatory services of the UAB Cancer Service Line (CSL). Some of these responsibilities include (1) the administrative support of oncology accreditation and certification maintained by the UAB CSL (i.e. Commission on Cancer National Accreditation Program for Breast Cancer (NAPBC) Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services Oncology Care Model etc.); (2) development and implementation of policies and procedures that guide and support services assessing and improving CSL performance (3) quality improvement facilitation through coordination of targeted process improvement initiatives and evaluation of success according to pre-established criteria and measurement tools; (4) collection and dissemination of quality and regulatory data within a meaningful framework to assist and guide departments clinics and hospital units toward reaching organizational quality and patient safety goals. As part of the Cancer Service Line team the Quality Management Coordinator supports the CSL clinical programs and teams in sustaining a high level of clinical performance across the care continuum; develops and maintains collaborative relationships with all stakeholders involved.Bachelors Degree in Nursing and five (5) years of clinical experience required. Completion of the Healthcare Quality Academy Certificate Program within two (2) years of employment required. Two (2) years experience in Healthcare Quality Patient Safety or related field preferred. Oncology experience preferred.
