About the role 

The FRA has been innovative in its approach to Higher Education. Our accelerated degree programmes are unique within fashion business education in the UK. They are delivered over 2 years and include industry placement and mentoring opportunities.

Due to our success and plans to expand our programme offer we are looking to recruit a Digital Technician to join our dedicated Higher Education team and support with the delivery of all courses across our Higher Education provision.

The Digital Technician is a key role in ensuring the provision of a professional, high quality, effective and efficient learning support to our students undertaking Higher Education qualifications. The role supports academic colleagues to develop and maintain good working environments, significantly contributing to the day-to-day support for students in their learning, digital and practical skills development, as well as ensuring both our practical workshops and portable machinery are working effectively and equipped for classes, as per the specific course requirements. 

About you

  • You will have a BA/ BSc (Hons) Degree, or comparable CPD.
  • Knowledge and ability to use IT facilities and packages effectively.
  • Knowledge of the contemporary requirements of teaching within a Higher Education setting.
  • Substantial fashion or related industry professional experience in a function relevant to the module area.
  • Experience within the Higher Education environment.
  • Working in a Technician role or similar.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong people skills and the ability to lead, motivate and collaborate with colleagues to ensure the effective development and delivery of the module.
  • Creative and enthusiastic, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • An innovative and open-minded approach to curriculum design and development.
  • Outstanding current knowledge the Fashion Retail landscape.
  • Passionate about driving excellence i.e. student experience.

Salary:

From £26,550 to £29,500 per annum, subject to qualifications and experience
