Our existing Clinical Manager and team of two Clinical Care Coordinators are passionate and skilled and manage highly trained Specialist Learning Support Assistants in supporting children and young people with complex medical needs in school or occasionally at home.Your role and responsibilitiesYou will oversee the day-to-day management of the specialist learning support service including management of the care coordinatorsYou will use your skills and knowledge to ensure all Specialist Learning Support Assistants are assigned to care coordinators for training monitoring and supervisionAs part of your NMC registration you will ensure care coordinators properly delegate medical interventions to non-clinical staff meeting all CQC standardsYou will display your financial acumen by ensuring best value and delivering the service to budgetYou will work in partnership with colleagues in education health and social care attending meetings where necessary to support the clinical needs of each child or young personYou will communicate effectively with the team and with children and their families and carers with sensitivity to different cultures and contextsYou will demonstrate your commitment to coproduction by incorporating the voices and experiences of children young people and their families when developing and planning service improvements as part of the senior teamWith support and oversight from the Service Manager you will directly manage and support the professional development of a small team of Care Coordinators who line manage a team of SpLSAs across various school settingsUsing your expertise you will lead the care coordinators in ensuring the skills and competencies of the team in a variety of medical interventions always align with the service guidelines and assessment frameworksUsing your leadership skills you will ensure accurate and up to date care plans and risk assessments are maintained for all children and young people under the serviceProvide oversight and responsibility for performance and quality standards being clear in your vision and expectationsYou will set the standard for recording and reporting for the service and provide best practice examplesYou will ensure all policies and procedures relevant to the service are in place regularly reviewed and adhered to by all staffYou will display your commitment to developing the team and their professional and personal development by creating a culture of honesty and accountabilityYou will maintain the highest standards by working in accordance with all of the statutory responsibilities policies and service procedures including upholding confidentiality training and equality standards at all timesYou will needOur ideal candidate will have a Current Nursing and Midwifery Council registration.A mentorship or teaching qualificationWe hope youll bring experience of working with people with complex medical needs who are reliant upon technology such as tracheostomy gastrostomy feeding jejunostomy feeding non-invasive ventilation oral suction oxygen therapyOur ideal candidate will have experience of managing people or supervisingIt would be desirable to have a comprehensive understanding or experience of delivering clinical care under a CQC frameworkYou can view a full list of requirements in the Job and Person Profile (JPP) (Word).If you believe you can succeed in this role apply.
