Were always searching the globe for innovative collaborative minds to join our best-in-class Aecon communityWhat is the OpportunityReporting to the Supervisor Project Payroll the Project Payroll Administrator will perform a variety of clerical and administrative duties in support of the payroll department.What Youll Do Here:Coordinate with General Foreperson Project Accountants and other stakeholders to ensure effective payroll processingMaintain filing system for payroll documents in accordance with auditing procedures.Maintain documents for employee information including labour qualifications and certifications training etc.Assist project controls in tracking monitoring and analyzing productivity data and project costs where applicablePerform all payroll duties such as verifying and submitting all timesheets audit reports prepare new employee packages and termination/layoff forms rate changes and travel and board calculationsResponsible for the time and attendance system employee onboarding off boarding daily attendance reconciliationsReview audit and exception reports in conjunction with payroll processing deadlines to verify accurate data entry and maintenanceWork closely with other teams to ensure timely resolution to employee questions and data processing issuesAssist with report requests and other administrative tasks as assignedWhat You Bring to the Team:Post-secondary education in Business Administration or equivalent2 years of work experience related to data entry and administrationPrevious experience with SAP would be considered an assetKnowledge of trade unions would be considered an assetProficiency with Microsoft OfficeStrong organizational skills to meet multiple deadlines and multitask while maintaining attention to detailExceptional verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work both independently and as a team in a fast-paced environmentAecon fosters diversity inclusion and belonging within and across our organization.
