The Mechanical Technician role comes with a starting salary of up to £48,000. Responsibilities and duties of the Mechanical Technician Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will: Carry out planned preventive maintenance and corrective mechanical repairs to maximise plant availability. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical faults across equipment in Mechanical Treatment, Anaerobic Digestion, and Incineration areas. Complete all maintenance records and work orders accurately within the CMMS system. Support safe working practices by following permits, risk assessments, and leading by example during toolbox talks and handovers. Assist with monitoring plant performance and work closely with operations and engineering teams to meet site KPIs. Coordinate with contractors and suppliers during on-site maintenance or repair activities. Contribute to managing mechanical spare parts, ensuring stock accuracy and availability.
