Head of Business Risk (Hybrid)


Our client a leading banking institution are currently recruiting for the newly created role of Head of Business Risk (1LOD). This is an instrumental role for the business where you will be responsible for the creation and embedding of the firms first line of defence risk function.


As the Head of Business Risk, you will be responsible for leading the company's risk management program, ensuring that the company's risks are identified, assessed, and managed effectively.


Responsibilities:


  • Develop and implement the company's risk management strategy
  • Ensure that all risks are identified, assessed, and managed effectively
  • Provide guidance and support to business units on risk management matters
  • Develop and maintain risk policies and procedures
  • Ensure that the company complies with all relevant regulatory requirements
  • Report on risk management activities to senior management and the board of directors
  • Lead the company's risk management team


Requirements:

  • At least 10 years of experience in risk management
  • Experience in the financial services industry
  • Strong knowledge of risk management principles and practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Relevant degree or professional qualification
