About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Psychology Graduate for an educational support role. This role is the perfect opportunity to use your understanding of psychological principles to support students, particularly those with additional needs, and help them thrive in their school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Learning Support: Work with individual students or small groups to support their academic progress, helping them engage with lessons and build confidence in their abilities.
- Special Educational Needs (SEN) Assistance: Support children with SEN such as autism, ADHD, or learning difficulties. Your psychology background will help you understand their unique needs and adapt strategies to meet them.
- Behavioural Guidance: Assist teachers by helping students manage behavioural challenges, using techniques such as positive reinforcement and emotional regulation strategies to improve classroom behaviour.
- Classroom Assistance: Collaborate with teachers to create an inclusive learning environment where every student can succeed.
- Emotional Support: Provide emotional and social support to students, helping them build resilience, develop self-esteem, and navigate challenges inside and outside of the classroom.
What You'll Bring:
- A degree in psychology with an interest in education and child development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with students and staff.
- A compassionate and patient approach, particularly when working with students who have additional needs.
