We are seeking an experienced Mental Health Therapist to join our Children and Young People's Mental Health Service (CYPMHS) team. The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues to provide high-quality assessments, treatments, and support plans that cater to the unique needs of each child or young person.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience working with children and young people who have complex mental health needs. They should be skilled in therapeutic approaches such as CBT, family therapy, or other evidence-based methods. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with parents, carers, and other professionals.

In this exciting role, you will contribute to the development of new services and interventions that address emerging needs within our community. You will also have opportunities to participate in training and professional development initiatives to enhance your skills and expertise.

The salary for this position is £45,000 - £62,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including pension schemes, paid leave, and access to ongoing education and training.

Person Specification:

We welcome applications from candidates with the following qualifications and experience:

  • Post-graduate degree in psychological practice (psychologist, family therapist, child and adolescent psychotherapist)
  • Registration as a full member of the appropriate professional body (HCPC, BABCP, UKCP, AFT, ACP)
  • Extensive experience working with children and young people with complex mental health needs
