Business & Commercial Development Manager (Remote – Full Time, 12 months – Maternity Cover)Department: Commercial Market EngagementHours: 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday (excluding lunch breaks)Location: Fully Remote (UK)About the RoleThis is a broad, dynamic, and highly influential position at the heart of our commercial function. You will support both your own territory and the wider commercial team to drive growth across product, local, regional, and national levels.With a strong focus on internal and external engagement, you will champion new initiatives, lead projects from ideation through to commercialisation, and play a key role in identifying and executing new market opportunities. Sitting alongside the management team, you will help steer strategic development and drive tangible business impact.Key ResponsibilitiesCommercial EngagementDrive consistent YOY commercial growth and support commercial teams to reach full potentialLead tender/bid writing and manage full tender compilation and submission processesProactively identify tender opportunities and understand NHS/public sector procurementBuild strong, consultative partnerships with senior stakeholders (including NHS ICBs)Support opportunity identification, prioritisation, pricing, and strategic commercial projectsDeliver creative KOL engagement initiatives across your territory and the wider businessBids & TendersLead and coordinate bid submissions with full ownership of bidding opportunitiesEnsure comprehensive, timely bid responses aligned with service specificationsProvide reporting to senior leadership on live tenders and pipeline movementsUnderstand procurement policies/frameworks (e.g., NHS Provider Selection Regime)Develop cohesive bid narratives and lead bid strategy and audit-ready processesOversee internal projects for new service models, ensuring commercial viabilityCollaborate with Commercial, R&D, Governance, and Finance teams on proposalsPresent bid information professionally at internal/external meetingsMaintain up-to-date bid libraries and ensure the team is resourced for upcoming pipelinesAttend bidder interviews and present models compellingly when requiredSupport tender writing, commercial offer creation, mobilisation and handover of won servicesShare innovation and learning across teams and keep abreast of NHS developmentsRequirementsDegree-level education (APMP qualification advantageous)3+ years’ experience in successful bid development and managementNHS/healthcare market experience (preferred)Demonstrated commercial growth mindset and strong attention to detailStrong tender/bid writing capability with proven win-rate successKOL mapping and stakeholder engagement experienceSkilled in CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and sales pipeline managementExcellent organisation, project management, and communication skillsCreative digital engagement knowledgeIT literate across Microsoft 365What We OfferFully remote working (UK-based role)Competitive salary (dependent on experience)Opportunity to lead CRM strategy in a growing commercial teamCollaborative, supportive culture with room for innovation and ownershipWork with purpose in the healthcare sector, making a meaningful impactWho are AYMES?AYMES is an innovator in the Oral Nutrition Supplements sector.
