This is a commercially focused role where your strategic thinking and supplier management skills will directly contribute to national defence and engineering excellence.Leading sourcing activities including market engagement tendering contract negotiation and supplier selection.Collaborating with internal stakeholders to define third-party requirements and ensure supplier alignment.Developing category strategies and supplier relationship plans to drive performance and value.Supporting operational teams with bid-to-production transitions to ensure continuity and compliance.Using digital procurement tools and data insights to shape sourcing strategies and report progress.This role is full time and provides hybrid working arrangements with 2 days in the office and 3 days working from home.Essential experience of the Strategic Sourcing SpecialistProven experience in Procurement Category Management Strategic Sourcing or Contract Management.Track record of leading end-to-end procurement processes and delivering measurable value.Experience across varied spend categories and supplier relationship management.Skilled in creating bespoke RFx documentation to support sourcing strategies.Proficient in Microsoft Office especially Excel Word and PowerPoint.Qualifications for the Strategic Sourcing SpecialistDesirable: Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (MCIPS) Level 4 or working towards.Security ClearanceThe successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.Many of the positions within our company are subject to national security clearance and Trade Control restrictions.
