Are you ready to take your payroll expertise to the next level in a dynamic, fast-paced environment?

We are on the lookout for an exceptional Payroll Manager to join our growing team and manage the payroll function for our innovative upstream business. With the chance to shape and oversee payroll operations for a close-knit team of approximately 60 employees, this is an incredible opportunity to showcase your expertise and drive meaningful change. You'll be at the heart of payroll processing, employee benefits, and compliance, while making a real impact on our people's experience.

What's in it for you?

  1. Be part of a forward-thinking team: You'll work alongside a talented group of professionals, helping to shape best practices and improve processes.
  2. Shape the future of payroll: Your insights and contributions will directly influence the efficiency and accuracy of our payroll function, making a difference to employees every pay cycle.
  3. Growth potential: As a key player in a vital department, you'll have opportunities to develop your skills, lead projects, and take on new challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

Payroll Management:

  1. Take full ownership of the payroll process for our upstream business, ensuring timely and accurate payments for approximately 60 employees using the IRIS system.
  2. Handle a variety of payroll adjustments including share schemes, pensions, car allowances, and offshore allowances-every day will be different
  3. Provide top-tier customer service to employees by answering questions and resolving discrepancies quickly and effectively.

Benefits Administration:

  1. Play a central role in administering complex employee benefits, from share schemes to offshore allowances, helping to manage our bespoke offerings.
  2. Collaborate with HR and Finance to ensure seamless integration and accurate reporting of all benefits.

Compliance & Reporting:

  1. Stay ahead of changing regulations to ensure the company's compliance with payroll tax filings, statutory payments, and pension contributions.
  2. Produce detailed payroll reports for senior management and finance, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in every report.

Process Improvement:

  1. Continually assess and refine payroll processes, introducing efficiencies and innovative solutions that elevate the function.
  2. Work closely with HR, Finance, and external payroll managers to implement new systems and keep processes aligned across the business.

Confidentiality & Data Protection:

  1. Handle sensitive payroll and employee data with the highest level of confidentiality and care, ensuring our company remains compliant with data protection regulations.

What we're looking for:

  1. Payroll Expertise: Proficiency in payroll systems (IRIS, SAP) with a deep understanding of tax regulations and employee benefits administration.
  2. Experience in a Complex Business Environment: If you have a background in payroll management within oil and gas, or a similarly complex industry, that's a big plus
  3. Strong Organisational Skills: You thrive in an organised, detail-oriented environment and can manage multiple tasks and deadlines with ease.
  4. Communication Skills: You excel at communicating with people at all levels and can explain complex payroll information in a simple, straightforward way.

If you're looking for a role where your skills will be valued, your contributions will be recognized, and you'll have the chance to make a real impact, this is the opportunity you've been waiting for.
