Scheduler

WHO WE ARE

Narrative Entertainment is the largest independent TV broadcaster in the UK with a portfolio that includes Movies, Entertainment and Children's TV. At Narrative we work on linear broadcast channels (GREAT and Pop Networks), AVOD apps and a range of FAST (Free Ad Supported TV) on major platforms.

THE ROLE

As a Scheduler, you will be responsible for creating and delivering daily presentation playlists for our entertainment, kids, and movie channels. You will work closely with internal teams, including On-Air, Media Planning, and Playout, to ensure seamless programming and compliance with industry regulations. Your role will also involve managing EPG data, coordinating commercial inventory, and optimising scheduling workflows.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Build and manage daily presentation schedules using BTS scheduling software.
  • Ensure accurate placement of promotions, commercials, sponsorships, and branding elements.
  • Liaise with On-Air, Playout, and Media Planning teams to ensure smooth transmission.
  • Export and distribute programming grids for listings partners and digital teams.
  • Monitor and update metadata, commercial break files, and as-run logs.
  • Ensure compliance with OFCOM regulations and audience guidelines.
  • Analyse audience performance data and contribute to schedule optimisation.
  • Collaborate with regional teams to maintain consistency across channels.
  • Assist in the development of new scheduling workflows to improve efficiency.

WHO YOU ARE

  • Experience in broadcast scheduling or TV operations
  • Familiarity with BTS or other scheduling systems
  • Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Understanding of linear TV, FAST channels, and digital media trends
  • Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders.
