Procurement Agent - Digital ProgrammesCompany:Boeing Defence United Kingdom LimitedAn exciting opportunity has arisen within Boeing Defence UK Supply Chain teamWe are looking for dynamic and ambitious procurement professionals to join the Boeing UK Digital Programmes Supplier Management & Procurement Team.Site location: Bristol U.K.The successful candidate will be a key interface for the Supplier Management and Procurement function acting as an authorised agent of the company with responsibility for managing all end-to-end supplier related activities and have the authority to commit company resources through contracts and agreements.The successful candidate will require an ability to perform in a dynamic environment meet the evolving demands of campaign activity partner effectively with bid and proposal teams and mobilise and execute contracts to ensure seamless transition from successful bid to delivery.Responsibilities:Implement Supplier management and procurement best practice ensuring compliance with associated Boeing processesContribute to the overall Supply Chain solution development to meet customer product and in-service requirementsCreation of the supply chain architecture strategy support internal make buy strategies and workshare decisions to best meet the customer needs and lead the supply chain bid activityLead the development of bid packages including supplier source selection and proposal evaluation (in compliance with the Boeing Enterprise Standard Gated Process)Establish flexible and innovative contracting strategies in line with agile practicesNegotiate pricing and contract terms and conditions including software licence termsPrepare review and implement negotiated contractual documents and binding agreements including Proprietary Information AgreementsConduct risk issue and opportunity managementSupport the management of supplier schedules quality delivery and financial performanceInitiates and completes supplier improvement activities and integrates results into contracting strategiesProvide strategic and transactional support to the purchase of goods and services where requiredSupport the development and maintenance of relationships and partnerships with senior collaborators peers and relevant functional areasAttendance as required at workshops meetings and supplier visits (including engagement with new/existing suppliers)Required Qualifications:The successful candidate will need to be adaptable and a creative problem solver with the ability to liaise and work alongside several functional subject areas to help develop and form the strategic supply chain approach to support the programme.Related workexperience working within a Supply Chain Management/ Procurement related role ideally within Digital Information Services categoryExperience and knowledge of Digital Information Service contracts and software licence procurement and licencing modelsExperience with drafting and placement of Purchase Orders and management of suppliersExperience supporting cross-functional teamsExperience working with Microsoft Office (Excel Word PowerPoint)High attention to detail and consistent track record in leading multiple contending priorities simultaneouslyAbility to obtain UK SC security clearanceInterpersonal skills and customer focus are essential to be successful in the rolePreferred Qualifications: (nice to have)Experience in Defence Industry and Digital Information Systems5 years of experience in the related fieldCIPS Level 4 or working towards.This position requires the ability to obtain a UK security Clearance for which the UK Government requires UK residency. The successful candidate will hold or have the ability to obtain Security Clearance (SC).Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status.Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
