Transport Planner Position Overview
  • Manage drivers' routes with a core focus in maximising fuel, load, and time efficiency.
  • Matching customer orders and requirements to available and suitable resources.
  • Prepares schedules, order entry and regularly update in-house computer systems.
  • Supervise drivers, including documentation, working hours, tacho data (with Transport Manager).
  • Manage vehicle maintenance/repairs - booking in MOT's, ensuring the fleet is readily available against customer demands.
Transport Planner Position Requirements
  • Transport planning experience within Flatbed Trailers - Highly Desirable.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a Transport environment.
  • A Management or Driver CPC would be an advantage but not essential.
  • Strong communicator with good relationship building skills.
  • Excel / Computer literate is essential.
Transport Planner Position Remuneration
  • Salary DOE £26 - 32k
  • Full-time, Permanent
