Transport Planner Position Overview

Manage drivers' routes with a core focus in maximising fuel, load, and time efficiency.
Matching customer orders and requirements to available and suitable resources.
Prepares schedules, order entry and regularly update in-house computer systems.
Supervise drivers, including documentation, working hours, tacho data (with Transport Manager).
Manage vehicle maintenance/repairs - booking in MOT's, ensuring the fleet is readily available against customer demands.

Transport Planner Position Requirements

Transport planning experience within Flatbed Trailers - Highly Desirable.
Minimum 2 years' experience in a Transport environment.
A Management or Driver CPC would be an advantage but not essential.
Strong communicator with good relationship building skills.
Excel / Computer literate is essential.

Transport Planner Position Remuneration

Salary DOE £26 - 32k
