With a newly acquired UK AOC Ascend Airways will begin operating a small fleet of Boeing 737 aircraft (NG and MAX) in the ACMI market, opening its first operational base at London Gatwick in early 2024. The company is founded on the legacy of Synergy Aviation, a respected UK AOC holder, which has been acquired by Avia Solutions Group, already the world’s largest ACMI provider with over 200 airliners in operation.
We are seeking candidates for the position of Technical Services Engineer to join our team in Bishops Stortford. Reporting to the Lead Technical Services Engineer, the Technical Services Engineer is to ensure the highest standards of safety and compliance. This role will provide Technical Support to the Airline for increased operational performance and reliability.
Responsibilities:
- Review of Airworthiness Directive, Services Bulletin and Service Letter recommendations to ensure timely implementation of the modifications on to the fleet.
- Research of Airworthiness Directive, Services Bulletin and Service Letter recommendations to advise the management of their integrity and ensuring implementation of the modifications.
- Repair/Damage file assessment, update and management
- The review of the aircraft manufacturers, regulatory authority and other industry issues technical data to ensure the fleet remains compliant with all required legislation
- Review ICA’s related to Part 21 modifications.
- Review returned Line & Base Maintenance Work packs to determine defect trending.
- Support Lead Technical Services Engineer/MCC in the management of long term defects.
- Assist with the review of all forms of technical information from Regulatory Authorities and OEMs’ in a timely manner.
- Ensure that all Service Bulletin kits and other such modification material are identified and is passed onto Procurement for ordering.
- Maintain and review IDE statements to ensure accuracy and update as required.
- Review and maintain the fleet EEL & external livery drawings.
- Review Technical delays and Occurrences in liaison with the Head of Fleet Technical to determine preventative actions and root cause.
- Any other duties as requested by the Lead Technical Services Engineer or Head of Fleet Technical.
The Ideal Candidate will have the following experience and attributes:
- Min 5 years experience in CAMO Technical Services role
- Previous experience on Boeing 737 Aircraft desirable
- Structural repair and systems experience
- Strong understanding of CAMO process and procedures
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 Application, Excel & My Boeing Fleet.
