Job Overview:
JTR Group is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Site Manager to join our team in the Worcestershire area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working on Severn Trent Water or any other Water Supply Company sites. The day rate is flexible, around £300 per day, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare work programs and manage operational delivery within agreed budgets, objectives, and targets.
- Implement and ensure compliance with company health, safety, welfare, and employment policies and legislation.
- Understand the contract and the company’s obligations, ensuring all requirements are met.
- Develop strong relationships with client representatives, residents, and stakeholders.
- Ensure full compliance with all project/works regulations, including Electrical, Gas, Building Regulations, ECO, and other funding sources.
- Address and resolve client inquiries, issues, and requests promptly.
- Manage engineers and subcontractors effectively, providing support on technical issues and performance management.
- Facilitate team meetings covering performance, operational delivery reviews, H&S information, company updates, and relevant training.
- Conduct site inspections to monitor health and safety, work quality, and productivity.
- Check and prepare site reports, designs, and drawings.
- Collaborate with the commercial team to manage costs, budgets, and profit, ensuring all reporting deadlines are met.
Knowledge / Experience:
Essential:
- Proven experience from time-served apprenticeship through to Site Management.
- Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS).
- IOSH Managing Safely certification.
- CSCS Managers category certification.
- Knowledge of Temporary Works Procedures.
- Strong understanding of site administration methods and practices.
- Ability to interpret drawings and specifications.
- Good commercial awareness with the ability to identify contract variations.
- Extensive knowledge of construction methods, technology, and materials.
- Proficiency in IT applications, including Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and Power Project.
- HSE-recognised First Aid at Work qualification.
Desirable:
- Experience in project management and/or technical management.
Experience:
- Construction: 3 years (preferred).
Licence/Certification:
- CSCS (required).
- SMSTS (required).
- IOSH Managers category (required).
- Driving Licence (required).
