Job DescriptionSEND Teaching Assistant Hounslow November 2025 StartLocation: Hounslow West LondonContract: November 2025 July 2026 (Term-Time Only)Pay: minimum 444 per week (PAYE)Interviews: ASAPAre you a graduate passionate about supporting children with complex SEND needs and looking to gain hands-on experience in a challenging and rewarding environment this NovemberA mainstream primary school in South West London is recruiting a SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils in a new SEND hub. These pupils have significant needs including severe autism and developmental delay and some require support with toileting and personal care. This role is ideal for graduates with a background in Psychology Education or related fields who are considering careers in SEN teaching Educational Psychology or Speech and Language Therapy.About the School:Mainstream primary for ages 311 with increasing numbers of complex SEND pupilsEarly stages of developing a dedicated SEND hubFocus on inclusion and integrating pupils into mainstream classes when appropriateSupportive leadership team and collaborative working environmentThe Role:Work 1:1 and in small groups to support pupils with complex SEND needsAssist with personal care including toileting support where requiredImplement support plans in collaboration with the SEND Teacher and class staffEncourage pupil confidence independence and social interactionHours: 08:3015:30 with a 30-minute breakWere Looking For:Minimum 2:1 degree in Psychology Education or related subjectEmpathetic resilient and willing to work with pupils with complex needsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsPrevious experience supporting children beneficial (but not essential)Enhanced DBS check or willing to fill out a DBS formRibbons & Reeves are Londons leading Education Recruiters.
