About the Role: As a Service Co-Ordinator within my client's Service Engineering department, you will be the linchpin in managing service requests and ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction. Your proactive approach and keen commercial awareness will drive the success of our service interventions and follow-ups.

Main Purpose of Job:

  • Proactively promote the company’s services and control service requests from customers to meet and exceed expectations.
  • Manage daily workload efficiently, ensuring all tasks are completed swiftly and accurately, with escalation when necessary.
  • Keep customers, ships agents, and engineers fully informed about all service interventions and follow-ups.
  • Provide administrative support and backup to the Technical Service Coordination Manager, maintaining commercial control.

Key Tasks:

  • Collaborate with the Service Manager to ensure prompt follow-up on service and sales-related activities, delivering first-class customer service.
  • Administer quotes, service requests, purchase orders, and invoices for service, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Coordinate service visits by in-house and third-party engineers, providing spares as needed, to offer effective service support in line with our strategy.
  • Compile and issue invoices to clients, ensuring accurate entry into the finance system.
  • Maintain commercial awareness of the marketplace, customer account activity, and product and service needs.
  • Support the Service Director in nurturing relationships with key service clients to maximize sales revenues.
  • Implement and manage the company’s ISO 9001 policy and other standards as required.
  • Understand customer needs for the company’s products and services and assist with service-related quotations.
  • Review service reports, recommend follow-ups, or escalate to the Technical Service Coordination Manager for sales opportunities.
  • Instigate improvements proactively.
  • Perform other tasks as delegated by management.
