Through continued growth the business is now seeking to recruit an additional Designer for their small & experienced Design & Development team.

The role has a wide range of duties that will be introduced & expanded on over time, which means the hiring manager can consider Designers who have experience of design for manufacture, design for product development or pure New Product Design.

The Role & Responsibilities

The role will initially focus on supporting the wider business by managing product design variation requests from their business customers - managed through a defined process. Other responsibilities that will later become core responsibilities for the Designer, include creating or improving manufacturing processes, designing improvements to existing products and undertaking brand new product designs.

Skills/Requirements

With training provided on the company’s products and procedures, this role could suit a Designer with good manufacturing process knowledge, or product development experience, or new product design skills.

Ideally the Designer will have current experience within a similar type role, or could suit a Graduate Designer with some hands-on experience gained from one or more placements.

Good communication skills are needed as the Designer will work with others across the company, with Suppliers and Customers too.

Can create accurate manufacture & detailed drawings

Experience of Injection moulding, Vacuum forming, Metal and plastic extrusions or Aluminium fabrication is useful but not essential
