Hybrid role:

4-days a week in office in central London | 1-day working remote.


Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tech Lead to join our dynamic team. As a Tech Lead, you will be responsible for leading a talented group of developers and engineers across various projects. This role requires expertise in multiple programming languages and a strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, balancing hands-on technical contributions with leadership and mentoring responsibilities.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of developers, providing technical guidance, mentorship, and support.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, architects, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Design and develop robust, scalable, and secure software applications using Python, C++, TypeScript, Scala, PHP, and other relevant technologies.
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
  • Drive technical initiatives, propose improvements, and advocate for new technologies and approaches.
  • Balance hands-on coding assignments with leadership responsibilities, maintaining a 50% hands-on and 50% hands-off workload.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in software development, with proficiency in AT LEAST ONE of the following - Python, C++, TypeScript, Scala, PHP.
  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms, particularly AWS, and experience with deploying and maintaining applications in the cloud.
  • Prior experience in a technical leadership role, managing a team of developers.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Experience with agile methodologies and software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and work independently, while also contributing to a collaborative team environment.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • AWS Certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Developer).
  • Experience with DevOps practices and tools (CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, etc.).
